“Picture
It!”

The primary goals
of the group include:
- To identify and
express feelings using pictures, collages and scrapbooks.
- Increase self-awareness
and understanding through group discussion of common issues related
to the youth justice system.
- To provide a
safe environment for adolescents to experience group connectedness
and develop their ability to engage in meaningful relationships.
- To provide a
forum for youth to relinquish self-protective strategies.
- To provide an
opportunity for corrective therapeutic relationships with the group
leaders and with each other.
