WHO
PAYS FOR THE SERVICES?
Fees are NOT covered
by OHIP.
Hourly sessions
have a fixed rate, however these fees can be negotiated.
Students are available
to see clients at a considerably reduced rate from September through
April each year.
Extended Health
Care Benefits can cover a portion of the fees depending on individual
policies. In some instances it is possible for us to bill directly on
behalf of clients.
Many of the therapists at the Centre are affiliated with external Employee
Assistance Programs in addition to the in-house program operated out
of the Centre. These Employee Assistance Programs may cover a portion
of the cost of counselling, often on a short term basis.
Non-Insured Health Benefits for Canada’s First Nations and Inuit
Health Branch may also cover the cost of counselling for a prescribed
period of time. Daphne Spence, Mike Ware and Nicole Farren Sharp are
all registered Social Workers with the non-insured health benefits program.
